What’s it all about, Panda?

Once upon a time, there was a boy named Dick and a girl named Jane.  They lived their lives, settling.  Settling for “that’s just the way it is”.  They’d been taught to settle for lives filled with a low level of stress, depression, annoyance.  And as long as it didn’t get too bad, they  plodded along, doing what they needed to do to get by, chasing after entertainment, vacations, sex for their happiness.

And, at times, they were able to find short intervals of contentment.  But then, Monday morning always came around again … the vacation would end … they would brace themselves to ‘get back to reality’.   After all,  “that’s just how things are.”  Life is simply a long chain of stress, struggle, annoyances – with a few bright spots here and there.

Do you feel, at times, like Dick or Jane?  If so, could you be open to the possibility that it doesn’t have to be this way?   That we don’t have to settle for a lifetime of low level unhappiness?  In my experience, we can all live lives from a place of interest and fun. We can take action with a sense of confidence, competence.  We have the capacity to feel rightness and fulfillment in the midst of daily life.  And we can experience acceptance and love in the process.

I like to refer to this way of living as ‘Flow’.  Acting in Flow rather than in stress.  And the point of this blog is to give airtime to the possibility that we could all live life in this way.  To provide you with suggestions and tools for doing it so that you break free from just settling.

These methods are drawn mainly from The Sedona Method®,   the Shambhala  meditative tradition, and the Jin Shin Jyutsu system of energy work.  They’ve been chosen because I use them myself and they’ve helped me tremendously.  They’ve helped me to find a greater sense of Flow in my life, power over my life.  And I believe that they can help you too, if you’re willing to try them.  We all have great power to shape our lives.  As long as we are open to claim it.

There are 2 “keys” …  two key ideas behind everything I post here.  Two key ideas needed to move from stress into Flow.   I suggest that  you check them out so that you’ll know where we’re coming from.  Check out the Two Keys link located over on the right.
